top-5-common-mistakes-in-table-tennis

We all love playing badminton and watching shuttlecock to move across the badminton net. A sport like Table Tennis can be either learned by playing shots against an opponent or by enrolling in proper training. It’s a game and one can never be so perfect while playing a game. However, we all commit mistakes, sometimes minor or maybe major.

There is nothing like a beginner or professional, we all commit common Table Tennis mistakes. Although the game looks like Ping-Pong but it’s far from this. The following list will assist you in identifying the top 5 mistakes in Table Tennis and how to solve these mistakes.

1) Grip like Hercules

If you always miss shots while playing table tennis then there is a problem with your grip on your racket. Either you grip too hard or lose which creates hurdles while controlling your racket to play an excellent shot. It hinders your ability to make spins which leads to missed opportunities to play great shots. To prevent such issues while playing table tennis, you can hold your racket at your ease. Just keep it loose enough to move properly so that you can control it on your fingertips.

2) You Shot Too Earlier

Perfect timing is what leads to a perfect shot and not only in Table Tennis but in any game, your timing is what really matters. A player has to set his eye on the ball and calculate every single moment to figure out perfect shot timing. Besides keeping an eye on the ball, you do have to monitor all the corners of the table to play an irresistible shot. If you don’t do this then a strong shot from your opponent can ruin all your game. Table Tennis is all about reading your opponent’s mind. The player needs to be ready to play any shot at any movement.

3) Free Focus While Playing

No matter how far you have been hitting the ball in table tennis. You just lose focus from the ball and boom, you’ll miss it. Table Tennis needs supervision to play a perfect shot. From backspin to topspin, you have to keep your focus on the ball otherwise you will miss the shot which leads to defeat. Some people either don’t see the ball or see only for a while. Your aim should be clear so that you wouldn’t miss any shot and score well.

4) Over Enthusiasm

Everything, whether it’s excitement or fear, if it’s over then it’s dangerous. Most people, even Ma Long, have missed many shots just because he thought he just did it. A game becomes monotonous when it turns out to be a task. Just relax and play it lightly, take your own time, but set your goals before hitting the ground.

5) Too Little or Too Much Spin

Table Tannie players need to be even more careful while spinning the ball which fails to create difficulties with your opponent and he grabs such opportunities. Make sure your ball spins well while hitting your opponent’s racket which gives you more control over your shots and swings. Also, too much spin can change the card and cause heavy topspins from your opponent. He might make the virtue of this motion to change the scoreboard.

We hope that these suggestions will help you to improve your entire game, but regular practice is also required to polish your skills. A man is nothing but an effigy of what he practices. Your practice determines domination in the ground.
