April 10, 2020: Softbank became the first company to launch 5G in Japan and the advantages of the recently launched 5G network are likely to be reflected in commercial business, ecommerce applications, blowing dramatic technological advantages in various domains including automobiles and healthcare in the future.
The 5G wireless network is expected to allow better downloading speeds, surfing, browsing, streaming and besides this the global gaming industry will be benefited with the advent of 5G networks. “5G is more than just a telecommunication infrastructure because it will be an integral part of social infrastructure of Japan during a dramatically increased industrial usage in two or three years.” said Yoshinori Omura, secretary general of the fifth generation mobile communication promotion forum laid by corporate members along with the local authorities.

The newly launched 5G network’s capability is to join up to 1 million devices per kilometer that allows more than just handling traffic at the highest speed. General secretary of the 5G’s forum Omura enlightened the cost of launching local 5G is still as high as 100 million yen, but it is supposed to come down with more and more people will start using it, said in a conference on Wednesday.
