June 16, 2020: India-China face-off became violent today at Galwan Valley. 20 Indian soldiers were martyred in clash with Chinese troops in the Himalayas. Indian Army ,quoted that 20 army personnels were martyred in a violent face-off as the tensions escalate while senior army officials from both Indian and Chinese sides are holding a meeting in Galwan Valley. This is the first time when a serious conflict arises between two nuclear-armed neighbours in decades. According to an Indian officer’s statement, the Chinese side also suffered serious casualties.

The clash occurred in the Himalayan mountain range of Ladakh, where India and China were holding a meeting over disputed land. According to analysts, no Indian soldiers have been killed in such a dispute on the frontier between the two countries since 1975 – last firing on the Indo-China border.

China was against India’s construction of a key road in the finger area around the Pangong Tso Lake and the construction of another road that connects Darbuk-Shayok-Daulat Beg Oldie road in Galwan Valley, Ladakh. It seems that China is not alone against India as Nepal & Pakistan are continually violating ceasefire and international policies.

According to India Army’s statement, an officer and two soldiers were martyred during a violent face-off that caused “serious casualties to both sides”. Senior military officers from both sides are currently in a meeting to “”defuse the tension situations escalate”, the army added.

Zhao Lijian, the Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, didn’t speak anything about Chinese casualties at a press briefing on Tuesday. Civil war over racism is on it’s peak in the United States, but being a friend of India, mr. Trump is now closely monitoring the dispute. He also offered mediate between both countries.

According to India Army, Chinese troops had twice crossed the line and violated the regulations of the Line of Actual Control, the unofficial border that divides the two countries. Army officials accused China of “provoking and attacking Indian soldiers” which led to serious clashes and physical combat between the two nuclear-countries.

The first clash between Indian and Chinese troops reported on May 5 and May 6 in the areas around the Pangong Tso Lake and in Naku La in North Sikkim on May 9. Following skirmishes, both Beijing and New Delhi deploy additional troops across the Line of Actual Control.

The clash between two armies comes at a time when China is being accused of spreading coronavirus across the world. The United States, along with other countries have accused the World Health Organization and China of hiding news of COVID-19 pandemic.

Indian analysts said that China’s actions were another sign of its aggressive intentions in the region. There is a “new edge” to China’s attitude, said Nirupama Rao, a former Indian ambassador to China. “This assertiveness, this readiness to throw [away] internationally accepted behavior to advance their claims and interests, it’s worrisome for so many countries.”

The clash could tighten as soldiers on both sides were engaged in skirmishes using rocks, sticks and dozens were injured and faced casualties. It can be assumed that China is seeking help from Nepal and Pakistan to divert Indian Army and government from the disputed land and due to its aggressive intentions, it’s pretty clear that the Chinese officials in the meeting won’t fix anything.
