Banks hike FD rates
After consecutive repo rate hikes by the Reserve Bank of India, a few banks, including ICICI , Axis, HDFC, Kotak Mahindra, IDFC First, RBL Bank, Union Bank of India, and Canara Bank hiked their interest rate to 7% for general customers on FDs (fixed Deposits).

Twitter is considering charging for the coveted Blue Check Mark verifying the identity of its account holder, Elon Musk said in a tweet on Monday. According to the reports, users must subscribe to Twitter Blue at $4.99 a month or lose their verified badges.

South Africa defeated India in T20
India Vs. South Africa T20 World Cup 2022 was held on Sunday. India scored 133 runs 9. In reply, South Africa completed the chase in 19.4 overs and defeated India by five wickets. Aiden Markram and David Miller scored 52 and 56, respectively, and the latter remained not out.
Gujarat (India) bridge collapsed
A 150-year-old bridge in Gujarat collapsed on Sunday during Chhath Puja. Reports say at least 141 people died, around 177 people have been saved, and several are still missing. A rescue operation is underway to find the lost people, including women and children.
