Enraged students have been protesting because of the NEET paper leak incident. New details about the paper leak are emerging daily, but Sanjeev Mukhiya, also called Sanjeev Singh, has now become the main focus. The resident of Nalanda, Bihar, Sanjeev Mukhiya, was recently identified as the epicentre of the whole scandal gripping the medical entrance examination.
The Bihar Police’s Economic Offences Unit revealed that Sanjeev associated himself with a nexus of cybercriminals to leak the NEET exam papers. Investigation reveals that this nexus of cybercriminals provided sim cards and shelters to the Sanjeev Mukhiya gang.
The controversy emerged when a surprisingly higher number of students scored 720 on the examination. Initially, faulty questions and logistical issues were claimed to be the cause of grace marks. However, Bihar Police’s investigations revealed a different aspect of the matter: the paper was leaked a day before the exam.
Authorities claim Sanjeev Mukhiya distributed the NEET-UG question papers and answer sheets. According to reports, Sanjeev received these sensitive materials from an unnamed professor via mobile. Law enforcement agencies have intensified his search; meanwhile, Sanjeev flew to Nepal after the controversy was made public.

Sanjeev Mukhiya has been involved in exam leaks for two decades. The former technical assistant at Nalanda College’s Noorsarai branch, Sanjeev, was linked to the 2016 Bihar Public Service Commission constable recruitment exam leak. However, opinions about Mukhiya differ in the village. According to the villagers, Sanjeev is an ordinary figure involved in agricultural work.
