New Delhi: Google introduces a new update to assist Indian Mobile users to browse, compare, and recharge their tariff plans using the ‘Google search engine’.
Launching this feature on Thursday, Google’s search bar will enable mobile users to discover tariff plans of several mobile network companies, compare offers & deals, and recharge any plan using any online payment platform.
This feature is currently available for the users, using an updated version of the Google mobile application on their Android device. All major telecom companies fall under this feature as Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, Jio, and BSNL across the nation.
The comparative section will be available on the search engine’s result page. You need to put details of your relevant carrier on a form to surface a list of the prepaid plans available from your carrier.
Select a plan to get insights into several recharge offers from online payment provider as Google Pay, Amazon Pay, Mobikwik, Paytm, FreeCharge and UPI to recharge any SIM.
Users can either choose to pay with any mobile wallet payment service via respective service provider application or website. The landing page will redirect to the confirmation page to enhance customer support experience in case of any troubleshooting.
A report shows, Over 1.1 billion cellular connections are active in India, about 95% of which are using prepaid SIM cards.
Google has previously launched some other features to make daily activities simple. This new feature paves a way to add some new stones in the strength of mobile users.
