5. Spend Time With Family 

Family and friends are the most important and valuable parts of life, and because of our busy schedules and in order to give a better life to our family, we miss important things, such as family time, resulting in family clashes and loneliness. Therefore, spending time with family has become one of the most common New Year’s resolutions for every year. 

Tip- Schedule regular gatherings and outings. You can also plan a family trip once a year. During this time, prioritise family- put away the distractions, such as laptops, office work, and mobiles. Be present and engage in conversations and activities like games. 

6. Quit Smoking 

Several smokers also choose New Year to quit their smoking habit, making it among the most common New Year’s resolutions. But the thing is, for how long do they stick to it? Well, smoking is an addiction which is not easy to quit without proper approaches and treatments. 

Tip- Seek professional help or join support groups. Identify triggers and find out the alternatives. Replace substitutes with smoking and reward yourself for progress. 

7. Learn New Things

Many people think New Year is the perfect time to start new things like indulging in new habits. However, if you are willing to learn new things, you can start any time of the year. 

Tip- Be ready whenever you encounter something new that you are willing to learn. Do not delay it in order to find the best time.
