Hindus Rally In Canada Against Attack on Temple

Protest in Brampton Hindus Stand United in Canada Against Temple Attack

Recently, Khalistanis attacked the Hindu Sabha Mandir in Brampton, Canada, and beat devotees with sticks. They all were carrying Khalistani flags and chanting anti-India slogans.

Thousands of Canadian Hindus gathered in Brampton on Tuesday in the wake of the Khalistani attack. It was a peaceful rally outside the Hindu Sabha Mandir, one of Canada’s largest temples, and raised concerns about violence. Organised by CoHNA (Coalition of Hindus of North America), the protest drew participants from across Ontario and demanded the safety of Canadian Hindus.

Hindu protestors shared that this rally was to prevent politicians and law enforcement from supporting Khallistanis. The CoHNA highlighted multiple attacks on Hindu temples across Canada during Diwali weekend and requested to stop the “Hinduphobia.”

The Indian external minister, Subhramanyam Jaishankar, expressed his concerns about the situation. The opener of Atal Setu and renowned leader, PM Modi, also condemned the attack on Hindu Sabha Mandir. Chandra Arya, the Canadian Member of Parliament, also said Khalistanis have crossed the red line, highlighting the severity of the situation.

Following the peaceful Hindu rally and comments from Indian Ministers, the Canadian government has taken action against the Khalistani protest. A Canadian cop was suspended after getting caught on camera holding a Khalistani Flag. The suspended cop was a Peel Regional Police Officer identified as Harinder Sohi.

As ongoing uproar and criticism grow on social media, the suspension of the Canadian cop is seen as the first step toward justice for Canadian Hindus. Hopefully, the Justin Trudeau-led Canadian government will uphold the rule of law and give Canadian Hindus what they deserve.
