Donald Trump Warns ‘Retaliation’ If India Refuses US COVID-19 Drug Request

April 7, 2020: US is undergoing the worst hit of Coronavirus outbreak and American President Donald Trump has exhorted India about US Army’s retaliation if it rejects anti-malarial drug Hydroxychloroquine request despite his personal request as he sought help from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to approve the sale of Hydroxychloroquine tablets in India. It would be shocking and disappointing in case of getting refusal or any negative outcome as New Delhi has very good relations with the White House, Washington.

As COVID-19 has claimed over 10,000 deaths and has infected more than 366,629 Americans within a week, Donald Trump is insisting on the usage of an old and inexpensive drug Hydroxychloroquine that is used to cure malaria. Mr. Trump found it feasible in the treatment of Coronavirus that is violating in the USA. 

We have seen very good relations & friendship with India and I sought help from Prime Minister Modi to allow the sale of anti-malaria Hydroxychloroquine tablets requested by the US health organization to treat COVID-19 patients and reduce the growing number of infected people around the US, Donald Trump said last week hours before India banned the sale & export of anti-malarial tablets.

“I would be really disappointed if India rejects this request” you know India-US relations do well. American President said on Monday during a press conference in the White House.

India has received similar requests from the intimate countries including Sri Lanka, Nepal after it imposed a ban on the export of anti-malarial drugs. India health ministry to review it’s export ban orders.

COVID-19 vaccine: The Indian Council Of Medical Research and Indian Health Ministry has recommended Hydroxychloroquine for Coronavirus infected people and also to treat asymptomatic household contacts of laboratory-confirmed cases.
