The International Indian Film Academy, or IIFA Awards 2024, recently took place in Abu Dhabi. The event brought together renowned names from the Hindi film industry, like Hema Malini, Bobby Deol, Shahrukh Khan, Rani Mukherji, etc. Shahrukh Khan, known as King Khan, hosted the event with Vicky Kaushal and Karan Johar.

Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Pranay Reddy directed Animal, which won the Best Picture award.
Best Director
The director of 12th Fail, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, bagged the Best Director award at the event.
Best Actor
Shahrukh Khan claimed the award for Best Actor for his outstanding performance in Jawan.
Best Actress
Rani Mukharji won the Best Actress award for acting in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway.
Best Supporting Actor
Anil Kapur was awarded Best Supporting Actor for his efforts in Animal.
Best Supporting Actress
Shabana Azmi from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani won the Best Supporting Actress award.
Best Performance in Negative Role
Bobby Deol was awarded Best Performance in Negative Role for his astounding acting in Animal.
Best Music Direction
From Animal, Vishal Mishra, Pritam, Manan Bhardwaj, Jani, Bhupinder Babbal, Shreyas Puranik, Ashim Kemson, and Harshwardhan Rameshwar bagged the award for Best Music Direction at IIFA 2024.
Best Playback Singer (Male)
Bhupinder Babbal won the Best Playback Singer award for the Arjan Valley song from Animal.
Best Playback Singer (Female)
Shilpa Rao bagged the Best Playback Singer award for Chaleya song from Jawan.
Best Lyrics
Siddharth Singh and Garima Wahal won the Best Lyrics award at IIFA 2024 for the Satranga song in Animal.
Best Story
Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan, and Sumit Roy won the Best Story award for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani.
IIFA 2024 was a three-day event starting on 27 September with IIFA Utsavam. First day was for the Southern film industry. The second day was for the Hindi film industry, and the third was for music artists.
