Trump Vs Harris: All You Need To Know Ahead Of Showdown

US Presidential Debate 2024

The US vice president, Kamala Harris, and former president Donald Trump are set to take on each other in the second general election debate. ABC News will host the debate, which will take place at the National Constitution Centre in the Philippines. This debate, scheduled for 10 September at 9 p.m., will be the first and only time Trump and Harris will go head to head on a debate.

The debate between Trump and Harris resulted from Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw from the election on 21 July. Biden’s move came after internal criticism of his party about his capacity to debate in another term. This year, in June, Trump and Biden had a debate where Biden couldn’t perform well.

ABC News will host this 90-minute debate, which will be moderated by “World News Tonight” anchor David Muir and ABC News Live anchor Linsey Davis. ABC mentioned that during this debate, each candidate will have 2 minutes to answer questions, with an extra minute for follow-ups, clarifications, and responses. No candidate is allowed to bring props or pre-written notes onstage.

This debate will be broadcast live on ABC News, ABC News Live 24/7 streaming network, and Fox News. OTT platforms like Disney+ and Hulu will also provide live coverage of the US presidential debate. No audience will be present to watch the debate. ABC shared that there wouldn’t be any opening statements in the debate. Also, no contender will be given prior access to the debate topics or questions.
