It is realistic to say that your body is going to change in ways that you have never imagined during your pregnancy months and it’s going to keep changing even after you have your baby. There will be a lot of things that you won’t understand about the changes that your body is going to go through and your normally smooth and clear skin will not be the same again for many months. As your body gets bigger, your favorite clothes are not going to fit you anymore and if you have any notion that you will keep these same clothes until after your pregnancy, it’s very likely that they are not going to fit you then either. It’s likely that you followed a moisturizing and beauty routine every morning and every evening of your life, but this routine may not help you during your pregnancy.
Your hormones are going to be up and down and your body is going to go through many hormonal changes and that includes experiencing acne on your skin that you’ve never had since you were a teenager. You’re going to experience skin issues in the second trimester and you need to be ready for these. The main thing to remember here is that standard advice applies and so try to stay relatively fit and eat all of the right food and it should help significantly. To help keep your skin and yourself in good shape during your pregnancy, the following tips may prove themselves to be invaluable.
- Drink lots of water – This was put into place before you became pregnant and it still is sound advice. Water helps to clean out your body of the many toxins that we take in every day through our food and lifestyle. Try to include lots of fruits and vegetables in your healthy breakfast because not only is it good for you, but it’s good for the baby that you’re carrying around inside you. It helps a great deal with your skin and it helps to keep the shine and the colour in it.
- Deal with the spots – The past time that you had to deal with this was when you were 13 or 14 and now that you have become an adult you are pregnant, it comes as a surprise to many that they start getting acne again during the pregnancy. The people of this much like you did back in your teenage years and so switch to a soap free cleanser that isn’t going to dry your skin and try to resist squeezing those spots.
- Keep your makeup simple – The wonderful thing about being pregnant is your skin will have a glow that it has never had before. You will hear people talking about the pregnancy glow regularly and so you will experience it as well. Your skin will change somewhat and so it is always a good idea to keep some concealer to cover up skin blemishes.
If you follow the above three pieces of advice and you try to do some light exercise every single day, then this will be good for your skin, your general health and your baby’s health as well.
