1- Mercedes-Benz

The star in the circle is undoubtedly simple but one of the most recognised car logos in the world. But did you know that its roots go back to a dream? The three lines on the circle represent ‘Sea’, ‘Land’ and ‘Air’. The founder, Gottlieb Daimler, chose this symbol as a promise to his customers — high quality and innovation. 

2- Audi 

Audi’s emblem is one of the luxury car logos that might seem simple at first glance. However, four interconnected rings represent the powerful merger of four companies — Audi, DKW, Horch, and Wanderer. The merger occurred in 1940, and the group gave birth to this car logo, which is now considered among the most iconic luxury car brand logos.

3- Bayerische Motoren Werke GmbH (BMW)

BMW’s blue and white roundel is among the most expensive car logos and holds a place in the hearts of millions. The blue and white colours come from the flag of Bavaria, where BMW was founded. The roundel evolved over time, but its design continues to symbolise precision, engineering, performance and pride of Bavarian craftsmanship.

 
4- Rolls-Royce

Among the luxury car logos, the Rolls-Royce emblem is the most attractive one. The symbol is synonymous with excellence. ‘Spirit of Ecstasy’- the flying lady, gracefully poised atop the hood, represents grace, luxury and power. The Rolls-Royce isn’t just a car; it’s a dream of car enthusiasts. Moreover, the Spirit of Ecstasy is not merely an ornament but a symbol of the heights of automotive opulence.

5- Bugatti

The Bugatti logo, enclosed within an oval, represents the brand’s commitment to power, speed, and luxury. Founded by the Italian-born French automobile designer Ettore Bugatti, Bugatti quickly became synonymous with the world’s fastest cars. When discussing luxury car logos, Bugatti stands out as it features 60 dots placed around the edge, which tells two stories. 

First, the dots represent pearls, which show grandeur. 

Second, the dots represent safety wires used in the engine due to the lack of gaskets.

6- Ferrari

Ferrari has one of the luxury car logos in the automobile industry. The iconic prancing horse is traced back to an Italian aviator, Francesco Baracca, whose aircraft bore the prancing horse logo during World War I. At the top of the logo is the Italian flag, while below is the yellow shield, which signifies Modena’s colour. Since Ferrari is a sports car, the horse represents the speed.

7- Lamborghini

Coming to another car whose emblem is considered among the most prestigious luxury car logos is Lamborghini. The simple yet clear logo featuring a bull is a symbol of power, aggression and dominance — qualities that the Lamborghini car exudes. The story behind the logo is inspired by the Taurus zodiac sign of the founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini, reflecting his strong-willed and passionate personality.

8- Aston Martin

The initial logo of Aston Martin was different. The emblem underwent a transformation when the company gained recognition in the automotive industry. The 1920 original emblem showcased an intertwined ‘A’ and ‘M’ set within a circular frame. Over the years, the logo has undergone several changes. In July 2022, the company introduced bolder lines and removed the curved lines beneath the brand’s name.

9- Jaguar

The next one on the list of luxury car logos is the Jaguar. The brand’s leaping cat logo is a perfect representation of speed, agility and luxury. Arguably, many of us were not aware that the brand was formerly known as SS before the Second World War. Due to its notorious reputation, the name was changed to Jaguar. 

10- Tesla

Tesla is often associated with the title of expensive car logos. The ‘T’ logo signifies a cross-section of an electric motor. The upright part represents the pole, while the curved line over the top symbolises a stator.
