Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to address the nation today from Varanasi, according to the statement by the press information bureau. Ahead of Uttar Pradesh Election, Prime Minister will talk on another significant topic i.e. New Health Scheme.
Mr. Narendra Modi, on Monday, from Varanasi, will launch Pradhan Mantri Atmanirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojna (PMASBY) with INR 64, 180 crores to strengthen the healthcare infrastructure across the country. The Prime Minister will inaugurate the project from his parliamentary constituency Varanasi, during a visit to poll-bound Uttar Pradesh. Besides this, the reports suggest, he will also announce the launch of nine medical colleges at Siddharth Nagar.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh on 25th October 2021 around 1.15 P.M to launch PMASBY. It is one of the largest PAN-scheme that will help to strengthen the healthcare infrastructure across the country. It will be in addition to the National Health Mission, reported by the press information bureau on Sunday.
Modi will also inaugurate various development projects worth more than ₹5,200 crores other than addressing the Varanasi election and launching a healthcare infrastructure scheme.
This healthcare scheme will focus on strengthening the healthcare system of India at all levels, including doctors, paramedical staff, medicines and make it prepared to face current and future pandemics and disasters. Under the scheme, the government will focus on 17,788 rural health and wellness centers in 10 high-focus states. And at least 11,024 urban health and wellness centers are to be set up.
With this health care scheme, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is looking forward to strengthening the healthcare system to fight against the current situation and upcoming emergencies.
