The 2025 Oscar Awards, the 97th edition of the Academy Awards, took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 3, IST. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) hosts the ceremony every year. This year, the ceremony honoured exceptional achievement in 23 categories and celebrated excellence in the artistic and technical aspects of filmmaking.
Comedian Conan O’Brien debuted as the host of the Oscar Awards and opened the ceremony with a warm tribute to India. He addressed the attendees with a cheerful “Namaste” and delivered a few lines in Hindi. “Logo ko Namaskar. Waha subah ho chuki hai, to mujhe umeed hai ki aap crispy nashta ke saath Oscars dekhenge.”
