Indian Armed Forces Told to Be Prepared for Anomalous Actions Along LAC

22 June, 2020: In action to the recent face-off with Chinese army on LAC, Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has given a total freedom to appropriately deal with Chinese aggression along the Actual Line of Control with China. This comes in betrayal of an amendment of the “Rules of Engagement”, which means armies will be free for using firearms in the case of an adversary, officials confirmed following a security review regarding the tense situation of Eastern Ladakh by the Defense Minister with the top Army Officers.

Mr. Singh at a meeting with the Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat and three services chief said that a high state of vigil has to be maintained towards Chinese activities along India’s land border with China, along with Airspace and Indian Ocean Region.

The Armed Forces have been asked to be fully prepared to deal with Chinese aggression along the LAC. A tough approach is being adopted in comparison to previous preparations on the Line of Actual Control. Ground commanders are in full power to make decisions, depending on the situation.

This initiative comes after 20 India soldiers, including a commanding officer of an infantry battalion, were martyred in a violent face-off with Chinese troops in Galwan Valley on June 15, Monday. Nearly 76 Indian soldiers were reported injured in the clash while China has not officially released the number of casualties.

It seems China doesn’t want the world to mock over his cowardness and inhuman activities against the Indian Army. “Stab someone in the back” has always been in its blood, says Rajnath Singh, Indian Defense Minister.

IAF fighter aircraft, including Su-30MKI, besides Apache attack helicopters have been positioned at important bases in Leh and Srinagar. IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria on Saturday had said that the force is well prepared and deployed to deal with any contingency with China. The IAF’s combat air patrols have been flying in Eastern Ladakh as part of the high state of alertness in the region. Thousands of army troops have also been deployed at forward locations along the border with China.

Singh, who is all set to leave for Russian Tomorrow, reviewed the situation along the Line of Actual Control at a meeting with Top Indian Army Officials. Indian Defense Minister, who is scheduled to attend the Victory Day Parade on June 24, is expected to sign some critical defense deals, which could strengthen the Indian Army.
