May 7, 2020: by the government announced lockdown 3.0 on Monday, Noida and Gurugram authorities have released fresh guidelines for the private companies willing to continue with 33% workforce.

The new guideline is mandatory for the companies with strict follow up of social distancing guidelines, including limited number of people in the lift, buses, workplace and providing free health insurance to employees and random COVID-19 testing frequently.

Also, some companies involved in essential services like grocery delivering, postal, courier and other eCommerce services have been advised to maintain a one-hour difference between two shifts.

After spending almost one month and a half behind the closed door, Gurugram is  now in the orange zone — now in this orange zone — companies are allowed to start a new phase with a restricted reopening outside the red and containment zone. Offices will be permitted to reopen and cab aggregators as Ola and Uber will be back on the roads.

Here’s what Gurugram and Noida Companies Must to Do reopen

Shopping malls, Cinema halls and other entertainment hubs including water parks, bigger markets like Sadar Bazar will remain closed. Now, when Noida and Gurugram offices have been permitted to reopen with their 33% or 50% staff, they might face some legal issues.

Companies allowed to function with 50% staff may face some serious issues as the employees living in Delhi cannot enter Gurugram or Noida unless they have passes issued by Haryana and Uttar Pradesh government respectively.

Companies will have to provide cabs to their employees rely on public transportations as Metro and other transportation services will remain shut down till complete relaxation. Finding out an accommodation in Gurugram and Noida to minimise interstate community would be challenging.

Factory owners will have to apply online and seek permission. The administration will issue passes for workers in various ways. The workforce in industries will gradually be allowed to increase, said deputy commissioner Amit Khatri.

In Noida, there is no guideline released yet on whether households can call their domestic staff. Noida falls in the red zone, therefore the authorities have divided it into Containment and Non-containment zones. The total of 34 containment zones is divided into two categories – those with less than two cases and those with more than two cases. Besides the radius of the containment area – expanding from 400m to 1km, nothing changes here.
