Coronavirus Lockdown 3.0: Here’s What is Permitted, and What is Restricted in India

May 4, 2020: Lockdown 3.0 or second extension of COVID-19 lockdown implemented across the country from Monday. Indian Government announced an extension of the current lockdown till May 17th, MHA confirmed on Friday.

COVID-19 positive cases have reached 40,260 as the death toll tops 1,307, officials said that the things will be back on track after this lockdown. 

With an extension of coronavirus lockdown in India, Indian Government allowed some services in approach to reopen the economy. As the whole country is divided into 3 different zones amid the Coronavirus Pandemic, the government allowed some services to continue as they were doing before lockdown, but strong social distancing and safety measurements must be followed. Here’s an outline of the list of services & activities that will continue from today.

        National Capital During Lockdown:

  • Transportations Will Remain Suspended.
  • E-commerce Essential Goods Will Continue.
  • Essential Food, Grocery Shops Will Remain Open in Delhi Metro Malls.
  • Government Offices Will Reopen with Full Strength and Private Companies Will Continue With 33 Percent. 
  • Call Centers and IT Services Will Continue.
  • 50 People Will Allow in Weddings and 20 in Funerals.
  • Self-employed People, Like Technicians, Plumbers, Electricians and Household Helps, Will Be Allowed to Begin Work

This information has been released by the Indian Government and announced by the central government on Friday. However, implementation may vary as per state government guidelines.
