Remotely Working is no longer an option now just because of COVID-19. The Novel Coronavirus forced everyone to stay at home and Work From Home. The situation of the entire world is the same and the productivity of companies is hampering on a large scale. Everything is under lockdown and between all these, companies are still striving to produce business with an idea of Work from Home

Work From Home was simple and fun until one or two employees were performing this activity whereas others were working from the office. But this task has now become permanent until our world doesn’t get free from the spread of Coronavirus outbreak. 

Working from home is not always easy for the employees and employers as well. Employees cope with problems like the internet, standard tools and  other necessary equipment and at the same time, employers are concerned about less productivity. 

If the above statement is correlated with you then you should know what are these concerns and what are the solutions.  

1) Lack of Right Tools

Problem: The first and foremost problem is the right tools to perform your job is unavailable and that is not your fault. It is a legitimate issue of the company if they are not using the standardized apps such as Slack and Microsoft Team to keep the things organized. This problem seems small but it can distract and irritate the employee. 

Solution: The one and enough step that can be taken in the new remote work environment is to set up a potential app that every employee can access readily. This is important so that employees can get connected with their peer members easily without any hurdles and wasting time. Picking the set of standard apps can reduce your problems and keep you more productive.

2) Major Security Issues

Problem: It is really a major and serious concern for any employee how to keep sensitive business data, documents, financial information, and other branding items secure. If the data stolen can be possible in the office under high-security, then it’s even more concerning because it’s your sole responsibility to keep the data safe. 

Solution: Companies can do one thing on their end to take care of the data is the company should suggest every employee to use Business Virtual Private Network (VPN). There are few options available that work well on desktop and mobiles like ExpressVPN. This could help the employees to keep their data secure.

3) Less Focus on Task

Problem: The biggest concern for all companies that employees won’t work hard enough as they are free to roam anywhere in the house just to complete their household chores, playing with kids and pets. Employers have major concerns about their productivity as working from employees can’t be monitored with cameras. 

Solution: You can solve this problem by training. If you’re performing “Work From Home” for the first time then your employee hasn’t had this habit yet. They don’t know the basics of how to perform their job, what’s expected and how to handle your job & household chores simultaneously. You don’t need to do much, just release some guidelines for employees, fix their daily tasks limits, offer the tools they need for their feasibility & more interest and just end up with short training related to staying productive at home. 

4) Mess up with personal life

Problem: A common problem among the people working from home is that it’s hard to turn off their personal life. There is no doubt to say that it is hard to keep yourself separated from your personal life while working from home. Well! There are some easy tips that help to separate these two. 

Solution: It is quite necessary to an extent to follow the strict rules and guidelines released by your office as your manager and coworkers can be reached you anytime. Just finish your household chore before your office timing and lock yourself in a room occupied with a proper chair and table so that you won’t feel lazy. Also take a shorts break. 

5) Company won’t survive

Problem: The final concern is too serious as it is about the company itself. We all know we work for the thriving business and this concern is obvious when the whole world is under the impact of lockdown. It is similar to the situation when staff splinters and stops working as a team, the company starts losing and becomes unproductive. 

Solution: This is not the time to lose hope for employers and employees as well. Both need to think out of the box and consider this lockdown as a new opportunity. We need to start taking creative approaches, more productive and innovative regarding our product. Alongside, companies need to invent new products to enhance the business and employment both and use new & innovative tools and apps, and just stay positive and vibrant as possible.
