Breaking News: Lockdown Extended By Two weeks Announced The Ministry Of Home Affairs

Coronavirus Outbreak: The ongoing Lockdown, implemented to cut the effect of coronavirus, has been extended by two weeks i.e. 17 May. The decision was announced by the Ministry of Home Affairs via Government orders. As we all know, Social Distancing and Self-isolation is the only way to fight against Coronavirus as of now and this is the only reason to extend the Lockdown over the Country again and again. 

The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued this order under the Disaster Management Act. 2005. However, this time the Government of India has come with new rules and regulation of Lockdown. There will be partial relaxation in Orange and Green Zones, unfortunately no relaxation for Red Zone. 

These new guidelines are based on the risks of the profilings of the districts. In order to save the lives in the Red Zones, which can also affect Orange and Green Zones.

New Guidelines also added some points regarding what to do and what not.

  1. Air-transport will be allowed.
  2. Social gathering places like Malls, Gyms, Hotels, Restaurants, Cinema Halls will remain closed. 
  3. All educational institutions will be closed. 
  4. Bans on rails and metros remain the same.
  5. Inter-state travel is prohibited. 

Roads can be accessed for the selected purposes only. Also, the further Lockdown will be depended on the account of the number of positive cases.
