Undo Shortcut For Windows 7, 10, Or 11

Different apps have different default limits of steps up to which you can undo the changes. For example, Excel has the limit of undoing up to 100 steps. If you want to undo your changes, use Ctrl+Z. It means you must hold the Control (Ctrl) key and press Z. This is a standard way of undoing a change across all apps. You can also use shortcuts on the menus or upper left bar for undoing a task. Use your mouse to bring the cursor to the undo icon. An undo icon would look like a curved arrow pointing to the left. Click on that icon to undo your Photoshop, pain, excel, and more changes.

Redo Shortcut For Windows 7, 10, Or 11

The redo shortcut returns the changes you lost by using the undo shortcut. Simply put, if you end up undoing something you shouldn’t have, you can use a redo shortcut and bring it back. Magical right?

How can you use the redo shortcut in Windows? The command for redoing a change is Ctrl+Y. This means one must hold the Control key (Ctrl) and press Y. There is another way of redoing an action using your mouse. To redo a change, take your cursor to the redo icon. A redo icon is generally a curved arrow pointing right. Click on that arrow to use the redo shortcut.

How Can You Use Undo & Redo Shortcut On MacOS 

It is similar to undo and redo an action on Macbook and iMac. For devices like Macbook and iMac that use Mac OS, use the Command key instead of Ctrl. If you want to use your mouse to undo or redo an action, follow the same steps for Windows.

Bonus Tip: Enable Your Clipboard

Turning on your clipboard opens new options for saving copied text and multitasking. You can copy many texts or images in a row and paste them into different places using your clipboard.

Hold the Windows key and type V to access and enable your clipboard. In short, the shortcut is Windows+V. Now whenever you want to access text or image that you copied, tap into your clipboard using the same shortcut. 

Click on the text or image in the clipboard that you want to use. You’ll find that the text or image will be easily pasted into the window you’re working on.
