indian-premier-league-history

Three different formats of cricket are being played around the world, including Test, One-Day International and Twenty20.  And Indian Premier League also refers as IPL, is perhaps the most popular type among these. The idea to start IPL was formed after India’s magnificent victory in the maiden ICC World Twenty20 in 2007 and today the craze for this gameplay has set a benchmark among all the popular sports in the world.

Indian Premier League is just a festival in India, a festival of happiness & joy which brings families and friends together. The 13th edition of the Indian Premier T20 League (IPL) was scheduled between 29 March to 24 May, which was postponed many times due to COVID-19. The new schedule for IPL 2020 stamps that the Indian Premier League will be held between 19 September 2020 to 8 November 2020 in UAE (United Arab Emirates).

It’s about to open with the first match between the Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on 19th September. The final will be held on the 8th of November 2020. With a huge audience base, it has turned to become the most-watched cricket league in the world and a huge money-spinner for the BCCI as well. While new records are on the way to set their feet on this list, we have compiled a list of previous winner teams, runner-up teams, players of the series, bowling & batting leaders of all matches from 2008 to 2019. Let’s check out and read carefully because history sometimes can predict the future.

IPL 2020 is all set to make some notable changes in this list, many records are on the way to establish.
