A huge effort has been made in the UK to develop a vaccine for Coronavirus next month. Scientists are concerned about this pandemic as it has affected over 63 countries around the world, having the highest death toll of 456 deaths in a single day in Italy. The UK Government will make it available to all the hospitals around the world to save lives under the threat of the Coronavirus outbreak.
“We are planning a secure trial on humans, which is expected to be the UK’s first Coronavirus vaccine next month, ” said Prof Sarah Gilbert, researchers at Oxford University. It will go smoothly without affecting the humans under the trial of the new COVID-19 vaccine. We are planning to make a big move to get the best output and see the effects of the vaccine at curing the infection, Prof Gilbert added.
The same vaccine trial on animals will also start next week at the public health England laboratory at Porton Down Amid Coronavirus outbreak in the UK. In addition to tracking the effect of the vaccine, trials on animals will be started before a trial can start. Though similar Coronavirus vaccines have been checked safely in previous trials for other transmitted diseases, the work has been boosted.
“We are concerned that a vaccine is required as soon as possible to reduce the effect of the Coronavirus outbreak certainly by June-July” by the time we expect a big change in mortality, Prof Adrian Hill, director of the Jenner Institute at Oxford said in an interview.
British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson claimed that the, Next 3 months could turn the tide of this disease, addressing the daily Downing Street Press conference on Thursday. Packed with absolute confidence he added, “we can send Coronavirus packing in this country, but only just in case we all take the steps we have figured out”.
